To help us achieve our mission, we are hiring a Lead Product Designer, with a deep toolkit of skills to join fellow UX practitioners of the Product Design team.
What you’ll do
This will be a dedicated individual contributor, ambassador of design and design thinking, who defines & refines the design direction of MassMutual digital products. You will partner across teams and stakeholders championing the value of design. You will also be a mentor for our junior designers, scaling the value of design across our organization.
We are looking for someone to empower the team to deliver outstanding design, both innovative and intuitive. Business priorities are always top of mind and influenced by users' needs. Agile methodologies are the foundation of how we work.
You will champion the latest tools like Figma and design methodologies as well as design systems as an integral part of how to scale design for the enterprise.
As a trusted partner of business and technology stakeholders, you will define the problem space and lead ideation workshops.
Together with your team, you will identify design activities to deliver engaging design concepts, always keeping an eye out for roadblocks and balancing exploration with on-time delivery.
You will help ground ideas with actionable digital concepts backed by user needs, business principles, and technical capabilities.
You will collaborate to problem solve and troubleshoot alternatives to make the minimum viable product ( MVP) happen while thinking long-term and setting the path for an innovative foundation.
Design is a passion.
6+ years as a product designer, user experience designer, design lead, or similar role.
You have experience with a variety of complex design problems.
You have experience with technology and user interface design among other design practices such as design briefs, hand sketches, digital comps, rapid digital prototypes, storyboards, presentations, and more.
You are a great communicator who gets energized sharing ideas and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
You are well-versed in all things research and when to use each methodology.
You have a proven track record of working independently and taking ownership. You don’t miss the details but are also happy to let your teammates figure out their work.
Bachelor's degree or higher in related field
